The app
αrchive does not collect personal data. It has no account, no analytics and no server of ours.
- Photos and videos go from your camera to storage you choose: a folder on your Mac or a network share. They are never sent to us.
- The library (file names, dates, shooting details) and thumbnails stay on your Mac.
- To show a place name for a photo, αrchive asks Apple’s maps service with the photo’s coordinates, under Apple’s privacy policy.
- Bluetooth, local network and location access are used only to find and connect to your camera. macOS needs location access to show Wi-Fi network names, including the camera’s.
This website
The site has no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email address, country and what you bought, to send your license and answer support requests; we never see your card number. See Stripe’s privacy policy. We keep purchase records as long as tax law requires.
If you write to us, we use your email only to answer you.
